Watching the **Ranjitha Kumar** keynote w/ @djoerd. Her PhD thesis "Zeitgeist" on Web mining design information led to founding startup Apropos that provided a product to A/B test design effectiveness.
She now leads a research group at UIUC exploring "interaction mining", notable for the well-known dataset interactionmining.org/rico with applications in testing designs but also task automation and UI Generation ("autocomplete Web design with transformers"!)
