Waiting for @signalapp to get rid of #phone #numbers and finally introduce user names is like waiting for Musk's flight to Mars: promised year by year, never to come.

What we get instead: gimmicks like stories, text formatting, spoiler alerts & yet-another crypto. #Signal is getting stale, complacent, and slowly losing credibility.

Still, they're hoping for donations. Well, get rid of the phone numbers. A heavy promoter of Signal in the last few years, I have decided to stop that, for now.

@BarrenPlanet Er... I won't use #WhatsApp, because I'm security- and privacy-conscious. 😄 Seriously, #Meta is evil and imposes ToS that let it crawl all over your phone (and your life). Have no truck with it.

I do use (and recommend) #Signal, but I'll politely use SMS with people who don't have smartphones or the ability to install and set up apps. I'm not going to call you a dick (that's not nice) but I do think you should reply to your friend's text messages.

"Woah #Signal, kümmert euch mal lieber um XYZ, wer braucht schon Stories!"

Ich sag nicht, dass es sonst nix zu tun gäbe bei Signal. Aber wie oft bin ich schon über eine solche Story mit Foto in zumindest kurze Gespräche mit Leuten gekommen, denen ich eben nicht einfach out of the blue schreibe.
Also: Dass ihr etwas nicht benutzt heißt nicht, dass das Feature keinerlei Wert für andere hat.

Einer der Gründe, warum ich kein :apple_inc: #iMessage nutze:
