Yesterday I played through #Pseudoregalia ; in the week before that, I played through #SIGNALIS .

An absolutely fantastic back-to-back experience, playing two excellent surreal games full of locked doors, keys, and abilities-as-keys. I absolutely love exploring these proper mazes.

It's been a pretty massive drought of good games for me lately, but suddenly a few just appeared!

Finally finished watching this monster of a video (almost 2 hours long!)
Probably the most in-depth analysis of Signalis story that I’ve seen so far since release of the game.
If you played Signalis - then I deffo recommend watching it, because it’ll answer many questions that are inevitably left hanging after your first walkthrough.

What I wanted to achieve is to play Signalis after Signalis. Mostly I used to play only Dark Souls franchise or Elden Ring, and the only one newer game which I enjoyed was Cyberpunk 2077.
Of course everywhere you will find a “but” so there is one — made by very small German studio Signalis. Absolutely loved and enjoyed this stressful title. Here I found all I love in Science Fiction - claustrophobic atmosphere, Bunker on strange planet, lovecraftian and Chamber’s-like references, retro futuristic cassette punk theme. Stanisław Lem’s Solaris in most horrific way imaginable. Who knows me personally knows also that I barely use any new devices and still play music on cassette radio and vinyl adapter and only high tech thing is my iPhone with some bank apps, mailbox and Mastodon and, last but not least, Kindle Paperwhite IV which I bought when I was on business trip in Poland in 2019 because my Kindle 8 was broken.
So I decided to “run” the video game on Mothership mechanic, because this #ttrpg title is great. I very appreciate #solorpg because often I am so extremely exhausted after work that the last thing what I want is to collect others for #ttrpg #rpg

I finally tried #Signalis. The art is outstanding both at concept level, editing, design, and cutscenes. It has equal measure of video art, videogame, and anime. It plays like a classical survival horror game, with very limited inventory space and resources, abstract puzzles, and tense atmosphere. All this with amazing sound design. I'll never go back to a place called "Nowhere" though, especially with my poor mapping skills. #Xbox #shareyourgames
