The failure of #SilliconValleyBank is unlikely to cause a financial meltdown like Lehman Brothers & Bear Stearns did in 2008 because the causes are different (not systemic), & also because gov't regulation works well.

In recent years, a certain set of tech leaders disparaged regulators and government officials as slow, corrupt and a drag on innovation. (Some of these same #hypocrites begged for government bailouts on Friday.) But the system works for the most part, and all will be well.
