A silver birch in English wood,
Glistened in the afternoon.
The sun he smiled, the tree she stood,
Glowing like a silver moon.
The plants beneath the silver birch,
Stretched their tendrils in the air.
For reflected light, they reach and search,
To bask in the birchy glare.
The afternoon doth slowly wane,
Sun’s light slowly fades and fails.
But silver birch she still remains,
Gently glowing in the English Dales.

We've had a lovely foggy morning here in North Yorkshire and I even managed a very enjoyable pre-work wander to make the most of it.
