Yesterday, we had a quiet afternoon lunch in #Telluride Today, was a fun drive along US550 between #Ouray and #Silverton ; the #MillionDollarHighway. Wow, what majestic scenery with impressive mountains. Couldn’t gawk too much as no shoulders and unforgiving drop-offs. Silverton was touristy but we had a pleasant stroll up and down the main drag and got funnel cake and coffee. Sadly, our #Colorado #Vacation is drawing to a close. Now planning a scenic route back to #Denver and our flight home.

We have some fun hikes in Texas - love it around Big Bend but i’m not sure much can beat these mountains (and it’s nice to have abundant water)

If you are ever in #Silverton, #Oregon, make sure to check out Sabor Tico. It’s a food cart, in a small pod downtown on Water Street, that sells AMAZING Costa Rican food.

My mouth is watering just thinking about the fried plantains that come along with several of their entrees.

Returning from Animus Forks via Hurricane and California passes. Looking down into Silverton. The very first signs of fall were showing on the mountainsides.
