K Mountain blanketed in clouds and snow. Gotta say, the view at the end of my road is glorious. The #SimilkameenValley is breathtaking.

I’m trying to post SOMETHING every day here. Get into a new habit. But it’s been a largely uninspiring day.
In fact, today’s been crummy (faulty smoke alarm, no sleep, expensive electrician) but this view! It never fails to make me feel incredibly happy and fortunate. Lights up time at home. Wishing you warmth tonight.
It’s only November 11. Where the heck is it all going to GO? *sobs*
As a non-snow place immigrant, living alone in chilly rural Canada, snow is a real challenge for me. I didn’t grow up shovelling it & I find it utterly exhausting. Worse - where to put it!? It’s not gonna melt before spring, I bet.

My impromptu weekend getaway to Osoyoos the other month was dangerously fruitful.

Pretty. But not so great for potential leaks.
The icicle parade has arrived (usually shows up in Jan.) early this year.
Job for the day: finding someone with a long ladder to go shovel snow and snap icicles from the roof.

I wasn’t ready for this.
The deck furniture is covered in snow. The garden full of un-picked-up leaves under snow. And I have too much to do. This first dump of snow cries out for snuggling around the fire, drinking hot chocolate and watching B&W movies with sassy dames and fellas in sharp suits. But I have deadlines and contractors and STUFF.
In short: uuuurgh.
