My first true musical obsession was with #PaulSimon and his collaboration with #ArtGarfunkel, that was when I was about 10. When I excitedly told my classmates about them I mostly got bombastic side eye, but luckily my teacher was fond of them and made us all translate Bridge Over Troubled Water for English class. Fondest memory of elementary school for me.

Today's random #Discogs choice Simon and Garfunkle and Bridge Over Troubled Water 1970. Another album I grew up with, and absolute classic, chock full of some of Paul's best songs. I firmly believe he is the greatest songwriter ever.

This was a wonderful band I had the privilege of playing in a few years ago. Included Wes Collins, who's gone on to much bigger things, North Carolina legend Rebecca Newton, and all-star NC session men FJ Ventre and Mike Rosado. They were so much fun!

@ren Absolutely. Portishead was the only Triphop band I listened to until relatively recently, but they have led me on to #MazzyStar and #MassiveAttack.
What I usually listened to was classics like #BobDylan, #SimonAndGarfunkel, #TheBand etc. Also lots and lots of #REM and #ToriAmos (who made me discover #KateBush)

But hey, I love #JohannSebastianBach and #Allegri too. 😁
