#SimonSchama's new 3-parter on art & history. His Landscape and Memory is a must-read: the glossy paper and the wonderfully clear graphics show up a lot of the cheapo art books on the market nowadays. Apparently they cut costs by using cheap and cheerful pic techniques. Almost like photocopies. I have a #Lartigue photo-art book that's completely let down by the awful rendering of photos that were clearly much better as we can see from Lartigue web searches
