I'm curious if the smart plug that I was using to force the TV off uses more, than the TV in power down.

I"m back to playing with this again. Going to experiment with the new TV and the smart plug today.

For the moment just trying to get setup, need an extension cord etc.

Interestingly the results so far are not what I expected. I turned the tv on, watched the readings, then watched a video once it was booted into it's smart interface. Then I left it alone for a momment, and turned it off.

Everything was within expectations, boot uses more power, watching uses power but it reduces on standby.

What I did not expect is how low it goes when I turn it off. I was quite surprised.

If time permits I'll put up some figures and details.

Now, I question how much the smart plug I have it on uses and if it uses more than the TV when the TV is off. -Which is the first question I want to answer.

We will see what time permits.
