Some Cochrane trivia:
The concept of the #SimpleYetPerfect teapot was first patented by Lieutenant General Mackinnon Baillie Hamilton Cochrane (grandson of #LordThomasCochrane) in 1901. Inside, a horizontal perforated ledge separates the #tea from the hot water. When the tea is brewed, the #teapot is set down again onto the base and the tea is ready to be poured through the conventional spout. The separation of the used tea leaves from the prepared tea prevents it from becoming 'stewed'.
