𝗖𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 and 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 of 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘅 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀 in software can be tough. 𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘢 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘪𝘵 𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘪𝘦𝘳. 👨💻
With 𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙡𝙖𝙗 𝙎𝙞𝙢𝙪𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙠 🖲 and the 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹-𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 𝗣𝗶𝗸𝗲𝗢𝗦 🖥, complex models such as flow control systems or financial mathematical systems can be modeled conveniently and time-saving ⌚, and 𝘮𝘦𝘢𝘯𝘸𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘦 already tested, validated and verified. ✅
This is particularly useful for 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆-𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀 🔒, but the combination can also be used for 𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗶𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗼𝘁𝘆𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴. Another use case is 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲-𝗶𝗻-𝘁𝗵𝗲-𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗽 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. 📊
How the whole thing works and how the interaction looks like, we describe in our blog post:

𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗹𝗮𝗯 𝗦𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗸 is now integrated with our real-time operating system and hypervisor PikeOS. Here's the deal:
The combination of both technologies enables software developers to build, test and optimise complex models such as control systems or flow models in a very short time. This is especially interesting for safety-critical applications.
The resulting binaries can be instantly executed in a PikeOS native partition.

Coming from classical control, I used MATLAB/Simulink a lot for modelling systems for controller design. Combining the modeling and simulation capabilities of Simulink and the well-established Python packages for ML/RL seemed useful. That's why I started to work on a wrapper which provides the Gym interface for Simulink/Simscape models in Python: https://github.com/johbrust/simulink_gym
Check it out and let me know what you think!

Connecting #ChatGPT to #WolframAlpha (as Stephen Wolfram proposed earlier), and then to Matlab's #Simulink, will blow all our freaking minds.
Then give it #Cyc's ontologies as well as other MAS (multi-agent simulation) capabilities we'll see a boon in scientific computing like we've never seen before.

Do you miss a tool like #Matlab|s #Simulink but #opensource #freesoftware and :python: #python-based?
Well, I hacked something together years ago and called it "pyblocksim".
Today I revived the project and added a first very rough automatic visualization of the code-defined block diagrams.
If you are concerned with #controltheory or #systemstheory this might be useful.
Application here is how to continuously approximate a hysteresis element with a tanh-function. 🤓

Reduce time and effort certifying a #Simulink-based application! This session will introduce the QGen Auto Code Generator for Simulink(r)/Stateflow(r) and explain the advantages provided by a TQL-1 Qualification.

@Volpit If you're thinking about #ScientificComputing I would also strongly suggest #Julia as your new language of choice. It's #OpenSource, intuitive, fast and has an amazing community and documentation to help get you started (https://julialang.org/)
I'm pretty confident that it will push #MATLAB of the throne of scientific computing in the coming years, except for a few technological niches who strongly depend on stuff like #SIMULINK...
