In memory of #SineadOConner

Since the #sineadoconner news "Nothing compares 2U" has been playing on a loop constantly in my head and it's quite hard to stomach for a person prone to depressive episodes.

The song just pulls you into this valley of sadness and melancholy that feels strangely comfortable, but wears you down over time. It's dangerously tempting to lean into it though.

Very sad to hear about Sinéad O'Conner. I saw her live at V Festival, just after seeing the David Bowie set, so there are good memories.

The best album in a range of excellent songwriting, for me, was the traditional Sean-Nós Nua.
