My favorite day of the year in Indiana, Adjournment Sine Die. The General Assembly's vicious 109-day assault on our most vulnerable citizens has ended. One of the least awful things they did was to, what the fuck, legalize recreational throwing stars. But today, our legislators ooze back to every corner of the state until winter. May they have safe travels home, and may they have flat tires coming back. 🖕

Last night, #sinedie finally happened in #Indiana.

Personal note. After the endless special sessions on #abortion and #trans athletes last year it feels like there's been no rest or relief. This entire period of my life has been a dark tunnel.

And this year's session was the worst I've ever experienced. Abuse from anti-#lgbtq and pro-life campaigners in the hallways. Cruelty in committee hearings and on the floor.

It's been traumatic and I'm glad it's over.
