@debasisg @georgetakei I don't think that would matter here. The issue is if she chooses to run as an independent, this moves seems to set that up. She could easily decide, under different rules, to run as an independent but keep her part affiliation until then. Democrats will be wise to put up a registered candidate in the next election.

1. Sinema can't win.
2. If Dems hope Sinema to caucus, point 1 invalidates it.
3. Sinema will likely challenge as independent being paid by GOP.
4. If (3) happens, Dems will lose.
5. Dems will lose anyway if Sinema in play. So go ahead and fight.
6. May be Dems can offer more money to stay out. Republicans have more cash.

Future is bleak.
