Spent time with family but when I got overwhelmed I was able to leave without any issues. Now I can just chill and do nothing without any guilt. Or do something and there is no one to make a mean comment about it. #singlelife

I never realized how many people I had in my life until my ex and I split. I've had so many #supportive people I didn't even realize. Another thing #singlelife gives me is true #friendship and reminds me of that I have those that care about me.

The best part of #singlelife is I do not have to compromise any longer. If I want to sleep with the light off, I don't have to beg for it. If I want it to be silent, no need to hope for it. I can take up the entire bed. No need to cater to the whims of an #Expartner who didn't consider my needs. I'm just going to be a #PetParent forever being happily single

Nothing like looking back to before and after pictures of before I was with my ex and then right before the breakup. I was so happier without my ex and I am happier now without them still. Just seeing the difference really hits home. #singlelife is best life. Now I'm living for myself and it's freeing.

The trouble with being friends with guys who rejected you romantically is encapsulated in what I have experienced today:

Me: I want to keep to you myself for a while rather than have you try to fix the friend I’m complaining to you about. I want to be selfish for once.
Guy: I can’t be with you if you aren’t 100% selfless.

6 months later:

Guy: I’m only focusing on myself and I know that’s selfish but I’m happier than I’ve ever been.
Me: 🤦🏼‍♀️

Like, yay for personal growth and taking the time to focus on yourself, but aaaggghhh, the frustration of him not seeing how ironic this is.

Dinner tonight is a reheated fish soup with vegetables.

Cooking for a single is difficult, as long as the single portion prices remain exorbitantly higher than larger portions. Family packs, in a society where there are fewer families than singles?

Even so, my cooking - IMNSHO - deserves repetitions.
