The #SinoVac is basically useless, but the #CCP won't fix it or import more effective vaccines. This is an intentional slaughter of the elderly in #China

@White_Bite Nearly all of the studies I have seen look at types of antibodies & various immune responses as an indirect measure of vaccine efficacy - are there studies that look at vaccine efficacy in the same population. I know of the Malaysian study (Institute of Clinical Research) which showed a slightly better protection for #Pfizer vs #Sinovac but neither were as effective as AstraZeneca - one would need to give weight to vulnerabilities (age etc.) to reach a conclusion.

It doesn't look good. #Sinovac & the other Chinese vaccines were the least effective even in the early stages of the pandemic. And the #Omicron strains now are much more virulent & resistant to any drug or vaccine we have now.

A contrastive observation which might not mean much in the grander scheme of things: I turned #Covid negative today, but my wife is still positive and she’s been having it harder than me. Could that be due to the different types of vaccines we got: she got the three shots of inactived vaccine (#Sinovac) and I got three shots of mRNA vaccine (#Biontech)?

👉La #vaccinacio s'ha fet bàsicament amb vacunes inactivades (#Sinovac i #Sinopharm), probablement menys immunogeniques.
👉Van començar vaccinant per sota 60 anys.
👉D'aquest pecat capital ha resultat q els menys protegits, ara, és la 3a. edat.
👉Baixa cobertura de les 3eres dosis (només un 40% a 3a. edat).
👉#Vaccins versus variant original, és molt possible que #SARSCoV2 #omicron circulant escapi prou.

@phoenixwithin I’ve taken a double shot of #Sinovac in May 2020. This is an inactive virus vaccine based on the original strain. I've not been told to do any boosters or other vaccines since then. I find it perplexing that #China should slowly relax its #ZeroCovid policy after all this time without adequately preparing the population for it.

Europa 🇪🇺 hasta la fecha solo ha autorizado 5 vacunas contra el #covid: 2 de la propia EU y 3 de U$4

La última fue autorizada en diciembre-2021 que usa el mismo principio de la vacuna #sinovac. La sinovac lleva mas de un año en el mercado y millones de pacientes tratados

La americana Novavax se acaba de autorizar, segun la propia empresa apenas ha participado de 2 estudios con apenas 45.000 personas

¿Alguien puede creer que la agencia de salud europea no toma sus decisiones mas por presiones que tecnicas?
