Just to be clear, Mastodon doesn't have full text search.

That means I won't be able to find your #shortcuts unless your posts use a common hashtag.

I'm open to different options, but personally I do not want to use #AppleShortcuts because it's clunky and that's not the name of the app. And the community seems against #SiriShortcuts as well.

#Shortcuts being slightly generic provides discoverability too, and anyone who wants to share #keyboardshortcuts can use that hashtag to be specific.

I replaced Evernote as an output destination for a couple of my Siri Shortcuts this evening. Now they output to my #Obsidian vault on iCloud Drive.

The trick to outputting a variable to the Append To File action is to convert it to a Text element beforehand.

The trick to building a filename variable of Y-m-d.md is to set a variable to the output of a Text element with the contents {CurrentDate}.md

... and now I can add text to my Obsidian Daily Notes using #SiriShortcuts and voice dictation.

It's Christmas time, the one time of the year I play around with home automation. This year, Kasa seems to have destroyed their integration with Siri Shortcuts, so I worked my way around it with the help of IFTT.
