All corporate graft. I don't usually dwell on the feelings side of fighting these corrupt projects but it's just too intolerable right now. Every message I get from stricken neighbours to this mess just guts me.

The lies the #bcndp told to get elected then once elected sold their souls to the LNG industry and made Treaty 8 territory a sacrifice zone in service to #fossilfuels, #fracking, #water depletion, #ecosystem destruction, displacement and flooding of West Moberly #FirstNation's homelands and sacred sites, #food to feed a million, and a whole bunch of negative, negative impacts to those of us downstream......GRRRRR

BC has a MASSIVE surplus of hydroelectricity, so much it has trouble getting rid of it & #SiteC will make that worse. We produce 70 TERAWATTS & can only use 50. Cost of #SiteC power would be right up there with nuclear if it were added to the chart. It's a project that enriches a few corporations but it is the highest cost way of adding electricity to the provincial grid.

As I understand the article, they've already spent $6B, but those are sunk costs; but the article doesn't say anything about how much it would cost (in damages, for instance) if they shut it down now.
