Working #sitespecific, your space has a sound if you like it or not. You can ignore this fact (and have a really hard time doing your live mix) OR you can take the sound of your space into account, and make it part of your artistic proces.
To me the obvious advantage to the latter is, that I can often achieve a feeling of what I call “singing rooms". Ex. If you use standing waves to make notes longer, the sound and feeling you get is totally different. If used right your can feel it in the body.

I started working with found sounds a couple of years ago, to explore ways if making my music/#sounddesign more #sitespecific: as in recording sounds of the space and transforming them in to some kind of electronic instruments / soundscapes. For harmonic sounds I would start using a #sampler and discovered in an online course, that a sampler was like a synth - but with a sample as the oscillator. After that I was sold to the world of #synthesis :D

I’m educated contemporary vocalist and early childhood music educator at the conservatory in Denmark. Afterwards I spent 4 years #teaching, took a diploma in leadership and added 5 years as a #principal to the resume, before I started our theatre Teater Jævn.
