Luntz story is correct, but ironic, given fact that both GW was just part of CC, both terms in long use. After all, we ahve the IPCC, not the IPGW.
has a good explanation. On social media, I've occasionally seen climate deniers (who obviously don't know the history) say some mysterious "they" changed GW to CC:

As I'm sure you know, the IPCC wasn't called the IPGW, so Luntz tactic was somewhat ironic, but good for obfuscation. Somewhat amusing, climate deniers who don't know the history sometimes claim some mysterious "they" changed global warming to climate change.

Today's crop of articles to scan for this week's edition of @SkepticalScience new research.

The job isn't done until eyeballs hurt. Millions of ideas and boundless curiosity turn into a mighty river of publications, even looking at a single connecting theme.

Promote, whinge & celebrate in one message: A reel, B reel, C reel. 🙂

It can be a rough moral/ethical dilemma.

In our weekly meeting for yesterday, a topic was "Should we ditch Twitter? The stink sticks..." etc.

The trouble is, our game is fighting climate change misinformation, and from that perspective Twitter bodes to be an even more target-rich environment than before.

So we hold our noses, stay. It's not pleasant.

Same equation as we ran on murderous, repulsive Facebook a couple of years ago, same result.

* The decline rates of pH and Ωarag in the North Pacific subtropical mode water (STMW) during 2005−2020 are ∼2 times of that during 1993−2005

* The faster STMW acidification is attributed to the accelerated accumulation of anthropogenic CO2 (CANT) in the formation waters

* The rapid rates of CANT accumulation and acidification are consistently observed across the 137°−149°E regulated by STMW transport

Putting NR together each week for can be harsh.
