Sounds good...
"Searching through email content in an end-to-end encrypted email provider is no easy feat. Because Skiff does not have access to any user emails, all search queries have to be performed client-side. To make this possible, we’ve developed innovative search indexing algorithms that work in the browser, in Skiff’s Windows and macOS apps, and in our iOS and Android native apps."

@brian I haven't tried Zoho; I'll check it out.
So far I've checked out #ProtonMail (kinda pricey for what I need) and #Skiff (much better pricing and features for me).
#System1 (owners of #Startpage and formerly Waterfox) and #Skiff are two examples of this: Marketing, corporate, venture capital stuff profiting off of people's need for privacy. They'll give you your privacy, but they're still taking your data which, even in aggregate, is extremely valuable to people who want to maintain their iron grip on the world.
Estoy probando el combo #ProtonMail + #Skiff para e-mail.
De momento, todo perfecto. Centralizar tu identidad en un solo proveedor no me parecía acertado.
Let's talk #privacy
Looking again at email, cuz Proton's free service just isn't much, and Tutanota has some weird restrictions (only searching email up to four months ago?) #Skiff looks very cool, but it's venture capital, and their privacy policy literally says they waive the rest of the policy when it comes to using aggregated data for any purposes.
#Disroot intrigues me. It stores emails unencrypted, which isn't great, but being a federated nonprofit is awesome enough that I may not care.
I've been looking to move away from Google Mail/Cal etc. I can't afford the popular Open-Sourced private addresses like Proton (I'm only a lowly IT monkey). Then I remembered that @Vivaldi provides a free email alternative, I already like their browser, you can encrypt you email and (best of all) still use 3rd party apps (Sorry Skiff, this turned out to be a deal breaker). Very happy with it so far, will be part of my new blog series.

seen it mentioned quite a bit here. so trying out #skiff for email and calendar.
#Skiff is a very interesting alternative to #Gmail and #ProtonMail. It provides end-to-end #encryption for mail, storage, calendar and documents. A fair amount of everything is also open-source. The calendar looks particularly nice (https://github.com/skiff-org/cal.com).

@thenewoil quite a good review, they lack of too many thing, the only thing i can accept is pgp, because frankly pgp is dead, only a very very very minority of people use it knowingly for email (all proton user are not counted since it's automated for them).
But where #skiff and #Tutanota (i use them as paid user) made a VERY big mistake there is no fu.... api to interact with them as developer and paid feature like secure form of tutanota is nope, it's design for website not for backend and API.
So at the end of the day for me they all fail to secure email.
Protonmail fail because too many thing isn't encrypted and there is no easy integration for dev so 80+% of mail come to them in cleartext.
@Tutanota Fail because of the SAME reason of #Protonmail at least everything is encrypted but no integration so majority of mail come to them in cleartext.
Skiff is worse than two other since like you said only skiff can talk to skiff securely.

@VolokhC I suspect that is because of the Stored Communications Act. Email that is older than 60 days is exempt. That is why people should abandon Gmail and outlook.com and use encrypted systems like skiff, Tutanota, or protonmail. #gmail #outlook #skiff #tutanota #proton #protonmail #storedcommunicationsact #email #privacy

Extremely intrigued by Skiff right now. Trying to offer the full productivity suite like Google Workspace but privacy minded like Proton. And they're from the school of "make the privacy app look nice" which I am so in favor of!
Watching this closely. As the privacy community starts digging into this, it might make me consider switching from Proton for my Fedora related needs.
