Last tour of this season with my younger son (Königstuhl, #Lungau, #Austria). We had beautiful weather today and found a region with good snow (again - given the history of the snow). Hard snow and drifted powder on our way up, brilliant drifted powder in a northern gully and then firn on our way down 😀.

I am a vegetation scientists, working from plant communities to plant macroecology with a focus on plant traits.
Specifically, I am interested in the impact of Global Change (alien species, climate change, land use) on distribution and composition.
Recently I started a long-term study on glacier forefield succession.
