So, I have a weird/rare form of which causes blisters from minor skin injuries (like weeding without gloves). Sometimes it's worse than others, and it had briefly disappeared after I had Covid (go figure). The ONLY thing that works on it is a topical mixture I came up with, consisting of and gelatin (pectin if you're vegan) to help it stick, with a touch of fresh aloe. I bring it to a boil, then cool it (I store mine in the fridge). When I have a flare-up, I soak the affected area in the mixture (can be applied with a paper towel) for a few minutes, then rinse and dry. I think how it works has to do with the chloride from salt, and healing properties of seaweed. Obviously, make sure where you harvest the seaweed from (I use bladderwrack and nori) is from a trusted source...

"Seaweed is being studied for its potential to inhibit the immune system’s inflammatory response. A chemical in seaweed with anti-inflammatory properties has been identified thus far.

"A lotion containing it has been developed to investigate if this chemical may alleviate the signs and symptoms of skin diseases like psoriasis. Researchers are presently comparing it to steroid creams in the hopes of developing a medication with the same beneficial benefits but none of the negative ones. With this information in hand, the prospects for seaweed as a treatment for psoriasis seem promising."

If you have chronic pain, or skin issues, and you find that ordinary bed sheets scratch your skin or dig into you and make your muscle pain worse, you might want to try these sheets I found recently. They're made from a soft stretchy tshirt fabric (cotton knit) and are much more comfortable than normal sheets. Also, because they stretch, they are easier to put on the bed if you have hand/wrist pain than normal sheets.

I was not paid in any way to do this post.

This is a New Zealand site, so be aware that prices will be lower if you are paying in Australian dollars or US dollars.
