The gondola project, a highly controversial parking expansion solution for Little Cottonwood Canyon ski resorts, found a wealth of new critics when the ridership costs were recently released. In addition to the tax payer funded $550 Million construction costs, per person ridership costs are expected to be between $111 to $200 per ride. Much of that expense is expected to be passed along to taxpayers as well.
