The famous on in October 2018. In the warm light of the afternoon sun, the fine spray creates a colorful . But even in winter, when parts of the waterfall freeze into ice, the place is absolutely worth seeing.

It's and I'm in a spoiling-you mood, so here, have a bonus for free.

This is Sk贸gafoss in Iceland, and likely one of the most-visited waterfalls if you're in the south of the country. We hit here in December 2018, and you can see from the ice in the water and coats on the people that it was bright and sunny but very, very cold.

A well-known waterfall in Iceland is Skogafoss. If you climb up the stairs next to it, there is a beautiful walk along the river. So, if you go there (and you probably want to after this 馃槈), take more time there to explore the region.

Well, as it's I thought I'd splash out 馃槅 and share a photo of lovely 70 metres tall in southern .

I love the way it has carved itself a heart-shaped cleft in the rock face. Erosion and attrition have sent this cascade backwards and soil deposition has laid about 5 km of fertile land between this and what is now the sea shore.

Imagine that - not so long ago in geological terms, a huge cataract that was falling directly into the ocean.
Magical!

I have a few photos of with not a soul in it taken at mid-day. No image editing magic required to make people disappear from the photo. It was simply because I took the photos just before the tourist boom. But I think some landscape photos need people in it for scale and this is one of them.

and the "Waterfall Way" behind it were my favorite part of in August. I didn't even know what I was getting into so I only made it 2 or 3 hours in 鈥撀燽ut if I return I'm bringing enough equipment to go the whole way!
