#skohub bietet außerdem die Möglichkeit, dass sich Communities um kontrollierte Vokabulare bilden können. Genau, Nutzende einbeziehen in die Erschließung! Oder auch zum Beispiel die Struktur der eigenen Uni als Vokabular abbilden und dann aktuelle Literatur dazu ausliefern.

@acka47 und @steffenr42 von #skohub geben die Antwort darauf, wie lokale Klassifikationen so aufbereitet werden können, dass man sie zum Beispiel in Discovery-Systemen (und auch weit darüber hinaus im ganzen Web) gut nachnutzen kann.

Aus meiner Erfahrung ist das besonders für solche Bibliotheken interessant, die viel Zeit in eigene Sacherschließung stecken und finden, dass sich die Arbeit zu wenig lohnt.

@Lambo @tibhannover Danke für die Erwähnung! Letztlich hätte es auch #SkoHub ohne @csarven nicht gegeben. Sarven hatte mich 2016 gebeten, einen Entwurf der LDN Spec zu kommentieren. Das hat mich nachhaltig beeindruckt, all die Möglichkeiten, wenn jede Webressource eine Inbox bekommen kann! Am Ende kam natürlich was Bibliothekarisches raus. @literarymachine war der Push-Ansatz bei Subskriptionen wichtig & er hat den Prototyp programmiert.

@phu Ich bin begeistert, wie sich unsere Gruppe erweitert hat um drei sehr kompetente und nette Personen (@steffenr42, @phu und Anna Keller, dazu steht noch eine Stellenbesetzung aus) und was bereits in den letzten drei Monaten passiert ist – rund um #SkoHub, die Verbesserung unserer Organisations-, Entwicklungs- und Deploymentprozesse & die Vorbereitung von Metadaten.nrw. Ich freue mich sehr auf die nächsten 20-24 Monate, in denen sicher noch viele tolle Dinge passieren werden.

@Lambo @tibhannover Hier wäre ja auch interessant, wie wir am hbz mit Unterstützung von @literarymachine bereits 2019 #ActivityPub mit kontrollierten Vokabularen verknüpften, um Discovery (zunächst im OER-Kontext) neu zu denken. Die Entwicklung werden wir auch bald wieder aufnehmen. Falls du dazu auch was machen möchtest, stehe ich gerne zur Verfügung. Zunehmend sind auch Wissenschaftler*innen als Nutzer*innen unserer Dienste dazugekommen. Bisher geschah dies aber eher indirekt über den GND Reconciliation Dienst, wo UI und UX dann nur auf Seiten von #OpenRefine eine Rolle spielen. (Ein Hoch auf offene, standardisierte Schnittstellen!) Immer mehr wird das nun aber auch bei #OERSI und #SkoHub interessant. Da müssen wir auf jeden Fall für genug Austausch mit Wissenschaftler:innen sorgen, was zumindest bei SkoHub schon ganz gut klappt. #devbib

@coret Sounds interesting. Do you also work on a solution to publishing vocabs/terminologies? You might be interested in #SkoHub / @skohub that seeks to provide a simple way of publishing SKOS vocabularies as static sites. We are currently working on adding #reconciliation support based on the Reconciliation Service API and will also be re-introducing #ActivityPub support. Let us know if you see some use for this in your initiative.

On the other site, I tried to give a glimpse into what #DigitalHumanitites people do all day from time to time, under the hashtag #DHFromScratch. Will do the same here. Again, it's lots of planning, discussion and counseling, a bit of doing presentations and another bit of actual coding:

Today, there's a workshop coming up about a #SKOS hosting software called #SkoHub, in which I'll do a bit about #ReconciliationAPI, an implementation of which I've been working on (#NodeJS, #ExpressJS, #ElasticSearch). Hopefully we'll finish in time for me to be able to watch some of the stuff at the #nodes2022 conference.

So far, the week also had planning for a common DH initiative and for a Shared Task in DH (#ReferenceExtraction - if you're into this, pls get in touch). There was a discussion about #Ontology for historical administrative entities, and one about which #SQL server to choose for a project, some #XQuery coding and tomorrow a discussion about #NLP methods.
