I'm sorry but this thing about #JMWTurner on #Skyarts about him hiding things like geese, bears and a defeated Napoleon in his paintings is daft. You can interpret anything as anything if you look at it long enough. It's like looking at clouds overhead and saying what you think they look like. This guy is reaching, imo. Nice idea, but no. #art

#nowwatching Spike doc on #SkyArts

Very much enjoying a programme about Laurie Lee being interviewed on #SkyArts. I went to college and worked in #stroud in the late 80’s to mid 90’s, and often saw him about town.

Watching a bit of Cirque du Soleil on #SkyArts and remembering why I seldom watch anything on Sky Arts. I want to see the performance. Not flashy camera work, not dizzying fades, not reaction shots, not pointless close ups and above all *not interviews with the performers*.

Anyway, enough of that, now watching #PortraitArtistOfTheYear #2018 on #SkyArts
