A single #mcdonalds franchise has mandated that employees are not allowed to leave or quit without corporate clearance. Obviously this declaration of modern #slavery has spawned an internet backlash and #boycott of the franchise. No statement yet from McDonalds corporate.

Migrant workers, their employment tied to one employer, are subject to multiple vectors of abuse.
Agricultural workers, home care workers, and more.

Oftentimes, these [inspections] are pre-announced so so that means employers know exactly when they are coming in so what often happens then is that they ask workers to clean the workplace and living their accommodations so they looks perfect and sometimes these workers are sent away so that they do not complain to the labor in specs right so l've heard this this from so many workers so the reality is different from what the government is claiming.

Answer every 6.25 days for 359 years. Is this possible? Based on the figures above, is my math correct?

Today in Labor History September 9, 1739: Stono Rebellion, the largest slave uprising in Britain's mainland North American colonies prior to the American Revolution, erupted near Charleston, South Carolina. A literate Congolese former soldier named Jemmy led the revolt of 60 enslaved people. They killed over 20 white colonists, on their march to Spanish Florida, where freedom had been promised to those fleeing slavery in the British colonies. Over 30 rebels died in battle. Over 20 more were executed in the aftermath.

They developed a slavery economy.
Now, the USA still identifies as a Christian country (though perhaps that's not representative of a majority?)
I have read the New Testament of the #Christian Bible.
My question is, what part of the teachings of Jesus advocated slavery? 🤔
