Hey mastodon,

Have you had any success with tongue exercises to decrease your AHI? I don't know if it's coincidental that I started doing them, and my AHI is more in the 0-2 range rather than the 1-4 range.

Is there anything else you do to help?

PSA: If your partner says you stop breathing in your sleep / you have terrible snoring / you fall asleep when sat down for any length of time, you might just have ( for our trans-Atlantic chums) - worth getting checked out.

And here's a recording to help you identify it...

My trusty CPAP machine has been keeping me alive and somewhat functional for the last 9 nine years, but yesterday it was time to break out the Torx screwdriver set and replace the blower motor 🪛😅

Rhetorical question
Why is it that my colds get worse at night?
I can breathe reasonably easily during the day but as the night progresses the nose begins to block up!
Because of sleep apnoea I have to use a CPAP, try using one of those with a bloody blocked up nose!
Goodnight mastodonia!

One of the worst ever episodes last night.

I get "conscious" dreams where I know I can't breathe, and struggle to breathe, and struggle and struggle until my sleeping body spasms enough that my airway opens and I wake with a start.

I had all that - dreaming, I perceived a very long period of rising panic, only to wake up on my back with both hands behind my head *tilting my head forwards* closing my airway.

I mean what the heck, sleeping body?
