This week we've been playing Sleeping Gods. We've played through the full story twice now (about 15 hours each) and found two unique endings. Spoiler free highlights included a screaming robot and a city full of monsters.
Love the game, you feel a little lost initially but once you find an interesting trail to follow, it becomes a race to complete all the quests before time runs out.

Finally started a new game of Sleeping Gods with friends yesterday after a false start with just partner before.
This was such an excellent and exciting game, we just kept playing, exploring and getting out ship to new places on the map that we didn't even realise we passed midnight. Definitely better with 4 people than with 2 if you have the right crowd 😄
So much fun we even forgot to take a picture, so have one from 5 months ago.

It was a tense finale to my #SleepingGods campaign; racing against the clock to find one final totem before the Hecktakron caught up with the ship. I grabbed the totem on my final turn, then experienced a new ending (ending 3). I also gathered a number of cards I can use at the start of the next campaign. This is my second campaign and there is still tons of material I haven’t yet explored, and I have ideas of what I’ll do differently next time. One of my all-time favourite #BoardGames

I had another few hours playing #SleepingGods this evening. Initially I did well, picking up a few totems. Then I think I went off a bit half-cocked, and I seem to be exploring areas that have nothing to do with my current quests. Time is running out. To be continued… #BoardGames

People who play Sleeping Gods: I love the game but it’s a complete table hog, which impacts how often I get to play it. Does anyone have any creative organisational/ layout solutions for this (or any other table-hogging game) that make it less sprawling, ideally so I wouldn’t have to put it away after every session. As an illustration, the game here takes up over half of an 8-seater table, and some components are on a separate table next to me 🙈 #BoardGames #TableHog #SleepingGods #SoloGames

I finished a full campaign of #SleepingGods 🎉🎉👏🏻👏🏻

I LOVE this game. Now I’ve got the hang of it, it’s wonderfully meditative to complete ship actions, go off and explore, come back and maintain your crew and ship, and repeat. The game pays off the required investment in time; I was surprised how attached I’d grown to the characters. I unlocked new cards for my next campaign to try and get a different ending (there are 13!) I’ve never played anything like it. It’s pretty special. #BoardGames

Another quiet afternoon playing #SleepingGods. I’ve done some research and changed my approach; as a result I’ve had a much stronger start to the campaign than last time. I’m sure I haven’t made as much progress as I could, but my crew is pretty healthy (as is the ship), I’ve managed to equip some good ability cards and level up one crew member, and I have a good amount of food. Let’s see how things continue. #BoardGames

I spent most of today playing #SleepingGods. This game is incredibly engrossing and enjoyable but boy, it is HARD. I worked through the tutorial and learn all the different elements and then I went off on my own. I think I went too quickly and didn’t take time to build up crew abilities:

- I get my ass handed to me in combat
- The crew is easily fatigued
- I’m struggling to build up food for recipes

Does anyone have any tips? #BoardGames

Today’s big accomplishment: typing up my #BoardGame notes for Sleeping Gods and arranging everything in a nice table.

My notes are terrible and I should have noted more details but at least now I have a framework.
