Do you ever feel scared so deep in your soul that you gasp for air and are almost sure it is the last you'll ever take?
I do that often because I have really strong #Dreams , #Nightmares , and #SleepParalysis events. That gripping fear is like a living being, that chokes me dry from the very ability to think beyond terror.
Maybe that's why I find it hard to be scared of the #horror media I consume - it feels like the writers have never felt that feeling truly burn in their lungs. Suffocating.

Just got #sleepParalysis for the first time and no it is not fun.
Like I was sleeping on my desk, having a #dream about me sleeping on my desk during a Minecraft tournament, and then in that dream I woke up and couldn't move. When I finally can move I wake up to another layer of that dream, in the same room, about the same thing.
I am still confused right now. Not fun.
My bed is on the floor and away from walls as I've had #SleepParalysis caught face-down between a wall and the bed, which was scary. When I've been sick or have had a shock, I don't do anything that might endanger me in case I fall asleep or have a cataplectic episode. No pushing or pretending it doesn't exist because some able-bodied person is getting pissed off.
Dreaming of that haunted house again. Need some sage advice. #GhostWhisperer #SleepParalysis #CreepyVibes #BitBook

Like the fifth day in a row Iβve woken up with a #headache. Today also featured some mad #SleepParalysis. Off to a great start. /sarcasm
I had a nasty case of #SleepParalysis this morning. Not a fun way to start the day.

I have an interesting relationship with my occasional #SleepParalysis.
Sunday morning, I opened my eyes in bed. I was lying on my right side, facing my wife and I could see she was still sleeping.
Someone was massaging my back. Because nobody else lived with us, I realized this was impossible and that it must be a sleep paralysis thing. Indeed, I could not move.
I was determined not to fight it. I calmed myself down and forced myself to relax and drift back into deeper sleep instead of trying to wake up.
So I was able to see it.
It reminded me of the classic gray alien. I'm not sure if the skin was gray or purple; it was hard to tell in the light.
It was short, maybe 4 1/2 feet tall.
The head was closer to human shaped but completely bald. There were no visible eyes.
It had a very wide mouth which was smiling at me. The teeth were white enough to see.
I did not get any negative feelings from the smile. It seemed genuinely excited that a person could see it, so I smiled back. I wanted to wave to it, but I still couldn't move.
It climbed up onto the foot of the bed, which had a tall foot board. Our bed doesn't have a foot board so, again, I knew this was not real.
It was very thin and had long, spindly limbs and long hands and fingers, like a human shaped spider.
It crawled over the end of the bed, lifted up the sheets, went underneath them, and disappeared, like it was going down a set of invisible stairs.
I occasionally have #sleepparalysis.
If you haven't heard of it, it's episodes of your brain waking up before you're able move. What makes it absolutely terrifying are these really, really, REALLY intense sensations/hallucinations.
For me the worst are "shadow people," which is quite common in stories about sleep paralysis. They are always right next to my head, just out of view, and talking or breathing into my ear. It's usually only a couple minutes, but I just have to lie there and take it until I can will myself to move. I often don't go back to sleep.
Heute ist die Dokumentation #SleepParalysis auf dem #StrangerThanFicton Festival in KΓΆln und Dortmund zu sehen.

Last night I was having sleep paralysis and my husband woke me up
First time in like 20 years of experiencing this that someone actually comes to the rescue (iykyk)
So if you were wondering if any of that transpires on the outside at all, apparently yes it does
Good Morning, #HorrorFam! HAPPY FRIDAY!
Hope everyone slept better than this person. Have a spooky day!
