I'm not sure, but perhaps for the first time #Ambien (#Zolpidem) had me sleepwalking. Don't remember getting up, I just woke up falling from a standing position. Stacks of books broke my fall. Luckily, all the books are okay. Though my back and my butt may well hurt the rest of today. Of course, naturally, I don't have any ibuprofen. If #sleepwalking was going to wake me up, the least it could do is wait until a later hour. Still only 2 am, but I am up for today now. #insomnia

The 9am news blared as the alarm went off. They'd found another body down by the river, a young man of about 25 who was out late. Another in a spate of violent crimes that plagued the city.

Aaron woke up, dazed and groggy, the medication had caused him to sleep quite heavily, which gave him some respite from the commotion in his mind.

He lay in bed listening to the bulletin, his back and head quite sore as he sat up. A pile of clothes lay in the corner of his room, thrown there in a hurry. He thought he'd folded them up before bed, but last night was a blur.

A hot shower he hoped would revive his aching body. As he washed, he noticed strange marks on his arms and hands. He worked as a labourer, so this wasn't unusual but he was sure they weren't there yesterday.

Heading down for breakfast, he was relieved for a day at home. The house was typical of a bachelor, not that he was one by choice. He still missed her, but she grew tired of his random outbursts. Aaron collected the bottles off the counter.

The drink and medication weren't a good combination, but this was his life now. He took two tablets, a well kept secret. It was his salvation, allowing him to keep his inner demons at bay. He'd never read the warning label, but something compelled him to read it.

"Warning: Do not take this medication with alcohol. May result in sleepwalking."

He froze. The scars, the clothes and the bulletin all made sense.

"My God. What have I done?"
