And, this might sound a bit silly, but rotating the ball to scroll is so much fun!

But here I am, during research or peer reviews it's just really enjoyable to scroll through pages or code this way.

The ball still makes an annoying squeaky sound, even one week in, so I'm not sure if I'm just going to have to get used to this. That part kind of sucks.

Other than that.. yeah, it's actually fun to scroll. Who would've thought.

We're a bit over a week later now, and I've been using the #Kensington #SlimBlade #Trackball exclusively all week to get as familiar as I can with it. I had to physically put my #Logitech #Vertical MX mouse away as I kept subconsciously grabbing it with my right hand the first day.

Other than that it was surprisingly easy to get used to using a Trackball, with my left hand to boot. It's quite pleasant, and my right wrist has had some well needed rest thanks to this, too.

This monstrosity arrived today. A #Kensington #SlimBlade #Trackball.

Someone clearly designed this, but made all the choices I wouldn't want them to make. It's super glossy too. It's going to be ugly *and* fingerprint gross in no-time.

But will it work? My right wrist is really feeling bothered again these days, so I'm going to give this a try -- with my left hand, even. Let's see how it goes.

It works out of the box on #Linux, "rotate ball to scroll" and all. Neat!
