Vertex slitherlink... or not.

I recently familiarized myself with this slitherlink variant where you clue corners rather than edges, and made some. But then, for a logic showcase, I made one where you have to determine whether a clue is regular or vertex. Link above -- enjoy!

Also my go-to #SlitherLink implementation is Loopy, in Simon Tatham's Portable Puzzle collection (https://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/puzzles/) because I love the non-square grids and most places don't do that.
I think (?) Jim Bumgardner started from sgt-puzzles and improved the generator noticeably, but he only has printable puzzles and I really prefer to do them on the computer. (https://krazydad.com/slitherlink/)
Huh. I finished the back catalogue of #CellTower word puzzles on Friday and I'm surprised how much it got its hooks into me: I keep going to do one or two and... oh. There aren't any more.
I started on November 22, so 25 days, 225 puzzles, averaging 9 per day. I hadn't realized I was doing that many. But they're mostly 3-5 minutes for me if I'm bothering to do them perfectly (and honestly a bit longer if I'm not, eh) so they've been replacing #SlitherLink as my go-to puzzle type to fill a few idle minutes here or there.
For the last puzzle of the year, here's a set of three hex grid Area 51 #puzzles. Enjoy and happy new year! #slitherlink #corralpuzzle #area51puzzle https://thegriddle.net/939/

After taking 2017 off, I've decided to bring back my #PuzzleAdventCalendar event over at my puzzle blog, The Griddle.
#Slitherlink and #Masyu fans will recognize those pieces in my Area 51 puzzles which are the feature of this year's series.
It's a few hours early here in North Texas, but the December 1 kickoff is up and ready at https://thegriddle.net/889
