@ton have just spent some time reading @tarkowski’s post. It’s excellent!
Have you read @blaine’s #SlocanStatement? https://slocanstatement.org/
It’s towards shared mission building across the #fediverse.
One option is to fork the #SlocanStatement and extend it with a section on analytic applications (contrasting with the current focus on transactional applications) to create a #fedilyticscharter
#slocanstatement #fedilyticscharter #fedilytics
I have read some other governance documents drafted like the #slocanstatement
Did a second #sociocracy & #fediverse meeting already happen?
I know there are some members from our Sociocracy in Free and #OpenSource Projects circle would love to join!

#sociocracy #fediverse #opensource #slocanstatement
Please do use the #SlocanStatement tag to continue discussion around it, so it isn't limited to just one person or thread.
Comment, remix, annotate, and evolve as you see fit, and we'll congregate around the tag to see how things go.
You can read Blaine's kick off post below.
The #SlocanStatement covers freedom of online identity, the freedom of communication, and the principles of interoperability.
The community mutual support section, which outlines how commercial federated services should be actively funding code / policy / legal structures needed for these structures to operate.
Blaine has been thinking about and working on various aspects of the #fediverse for a long time.
He put together what he calls the #SlocanStatement, a kind of charter for the fediverse, encompassing many different p2p and federated social protocols.
@christina @ademoor @blaine The #slocanstatement seems to be aapply at the level of the fediverse . I advocate agreement to a set of simple rules (don't abuse other people!) as a condition of joining; a clearly stated set of protocols for complaints, adjudication; a decision-making "boot sector" (how does the community make decisions, including how does it change how it makes decisions); and trained/experienced moderators) -- but it doesn't seem appropriate to apply that at fediverse level
Hello Fediverse!
I'm sharing a thing that I hope can be the beginning for many conversations, and represents for me a statement that is the result of many years of conversation:
I call it the #SlocanStatement, and I'm sharing it here first, in public, in the spirit of the Fediverse.
I hope you'll read it, share it if you think it's a valuable statement, and comment and revise it towards building consensus across the Fediverse.
