Re #Valencia and the center running BLs, all it would take is a distracted or reckless driver to kill me and my kids. Based on what MLB and MTA did to #SlowLake, I don't trust any of them.

That being said if the powers that be can keep MLB/Ronen/MTA accountable, I'm willing to wait for a car free promenade and PBLs. Yes, we've been waiting for a long time. Far too long.

Also, no mention of a city-wide network and Active Communities Plan, while furthering the convo with EPCs, who take the brunt of traffic deaths and car infra. A lazy Chron piece is not the way especially re the "concerns" of motorists along CA St in the Richmond. There is readily available data to disprove myths around congestion. We learned to work with other groups effectively: We helped Friends of #SlowLake thwart a plan to water down their slow street, we put our corking skills to use during the day everyone was out protesting the Roe V Wade decision and/or at the Trans March, and we helped get the word out about the 30th Anniversary of #CriticalMass and keep it safe - only one of us got hit by a car

Took my kids on a holiday lights ride on #SlowLake and #JFKPromenade. Def chilly out there. CoF was amazing. Also, the drum circle / music at Entwined was cool.

I have a lot of thoughts on #SlowLake as someone who is probably a "middle case" user (drives daily, walks/busses regularly, never bikes), but my neighbor cussed out a rando over the weekend unprovoked, so it feels kind of a hot topic on my specific block. 😬
