Das #Slowpitch #Softball #Turnier Wochenende ist zuende gegangen mit einem Sieg für uns, 2:1.
Das ist nicht neu. Neu ist, dass ich das Finalspiel so richtig am Schlag verkackt habe, zweimal am Schlag, zweimal Strikeout. Und auch sonst haben wir gespielt nach dem Motto: Das Pferd springt nur so hoch wie es muss.
Der Sieg fühlt sich irgendwie fad an.

Das gute am Teamsport: das Team kann Fehler des/der Einzelnen mittragen.

There's a thing in #SlowPitch #softball where hitting it up the middle is considered bad at endangering the pitcher. I find this curious because the same expectation isn't there in fastpitch or baseball.

I stumbled upon this interesting ethnography paper from 2013 talking about "going middle", particularly in co-ed slow pitch. It really hits on some toxic male behavioural undertones.
