the whole issue of "slums" is interesting. it was common for a period to describe most any lower/lower middle class neighborhood as a slum, no matter how vibrant and alive it might be. Moses wanted to build highways, it was easier to tear down places where the poor lived (he learned this lesson early on) and so he ended up building the projects in NYC for all the people he displaced from his highway projects - cheaply built, inhuman high rises. #slums #ReDevelopment #UrbanRenewal

Similar boat, we had people vilify us for wanting to have a sensible amount of #immigration into #Australia. Rather than the extreme 300-450 thousand per annum.

Here people don't come after you and attack you, they just completely ignore you. Its the polite way.
