And no, this is not a false analogy. I have picked these statements because these are common anti-science denial statements that have caused harm. We have strong enough evidence that corporal punishment is just as harmful.

As a final note, I equate smacking children with the psychological equivalent of giving the child a cigarette, and to anti-vaxxers due to the epidemical implications of child corporal punishment (which has been shown to cause epidemics of all sorts of poor mental health issues and increased crime rates).
