Great new article on the #Smaky by Fabian Grütter: “The Smaky school computer. Technology and education in the ruins of Switzerland’s watch industry, 1973–1997”

Here is an insight into the current research of our team in Lausanne at UNIL. PhD candidate @SoBemel and postdoc @pyhurel are doing hands-on research on the Smaky. The Smaky was a computing platform, developed at the EPFL in the French-speaking region of Switzerland. Next to playing-as-research, the team at UNIL is looking at the history of Swiss video games through media archeological and sociological methodologies.
