Sordidez by E.G. Condé is a near-future novel, tangling the fate of three indigenous characters of Central America and the Carribean, as they are confronted to climate catastrophes and colonisation. It doesn’t pull any punches and although the novel’s structure may not be everyone’s cup of tea, it holds some hard and urgent truths.
