It is truly impressive how fast and well this thing works! I setup an automation that listens for “Bedtime” and virtually presses a button created in @nodered that does all the bedtime things like turning off lights and locking doors. The automation part is crazy fast!

For $15 you can turn any switch smart with Wi-Fi or #Zigbee. This means you can keep all your bulbs and switches if what you want is to be able to turn them on or off automatically/remotely. Anyone can still use the switch as usual, except it might be upside down, like a three-way switch. Basically, the relay becomes an additional switch hidden in the electric box. 🤯

I think this is okay for the moment. Still impressed by how easy this was using one #esp01 with #dth11 module, a programming adapter, a resistor and #AdruinoIDE for flashing it. Of course this is not my own achievement since I relied on the beloved internet hive mind, doing it.
And, again, I see that #python and #javascript can be sure used and are powerful but its so strange to me that I later will defently ask my self how the hell I implemented that.

Today I did the first (in 7 years) factory reset of my Xiaomi Robot Vacuum Cleaner (1st gen). I was afraid of losing the statistics, but surprisingly everything survived. I just had to update the token in #Homebridge to have it back in #HomeKit.
