What #AirQuality #Sensors are people using for their #SmartHomes running #Thread, #Matter, and #homekit ?

I have #OctoPrint and a #3dPrinter and among other maker projects running and I would like to make sure I am properly tracking Air Quality throughout the house. #VOC #CO2 #PPM , etc... I even saw a Formaldehyde sensor. But it's so very hard to find sensors that work with homekit / thread / matter.

https://youtu.be/SyEgD-5GK9c Been watching this story, and yeah it's just insane, I mean the only bit of credit I'd ever give Amazon is, at least they listened to their driver, but then thinking it's acceptable to turn off the users services, that are as integral as being able to switch on lights.. That is messed up. It definitely highlights why #smarthomes are just a nightmares waiting to happen, especially with the power given to companies like #Amazon and #google #capitalism

Seit einer Woche sind wir #Guerilla-Stromer. Sprich, haben unsere eigene #Photovoltaik-Anlage aufs Veranda-Dach geknallt. Waren auch nur ca. 10 Tage Lieferzeit.

Erstes Fazit: Aufbau leicht, Anschluss leicht, beim nöchsten Mal verzichten wir, dass bei strömenden Regen zu machen 🙂

Zweites Fazit: Aktuell sind selbst an bedeckten Tagen ein Dreiviertelkilowatt Ertrag möglich. Wer mit "Dreiviertel" nix anfangen kann, das ist identisch zu ein "Viertel vor".

Bei leichtem #Sonnenschein kann man aktuell tatsächlich um 500 Watt einsammeln.

Und da komme ich auch direkt zur großen Sparlüge. Die Werbung suggeriert, dass man mit einem #Balkonkraftwerk ungefähr 250,- Euro pro Jahr sparen kann. Ich persönlich habe etwas konservativer mit 200,- gerechnet.

Aber das ist völlig unrealistisch, zumindest wenn man das für einen klassischen Vier-Personen-Haushalt nimmt. Nun ja, das mit den 4000 kW #Jahresverbrauch verdoppeln wir beinahe mit unserem 3-Stromschlucker-Haushalt. Aber selbst wir haben tagsüber gerade einmal 200 bis 250 Watt verbrauch. Im Sommer ohne #Heizkessel werden es vermutlich sogar nocxh ca. 50 bis 90 Watt weniger sein. OK, Kühlschrank und Eisschrank werden sicherlich mehr verbrauchen. Aber gerade im Sommer, wenn das System wirklich an die 800 Watt liefert wird mehr als die Hälfte im gierigen Schlund des Netzbetreibers, hier #edis, landen.

OK, man ist ja ein Mensch mit #Computermacke. Also alle ständig laufenden Verbraucher mit Strommesser ausgestattet (#Tasmota und #HomematicIP auf #FHEM). Es war echt überraschend was bzw. wieviel der Krempel *wirklich* verbraucht.

Dann im Rahmen des #Smarthomes ein Programm geschrieben, das hysterisch über das hausweit unstallierte #Echosystem schreit: "Jetzt, jetzt, jetzt! Schmeiss den Strom nicht der #Mafia in den Hals".

Elisa muss nun gegebenenfalls stark stromziehende Geräte früher einschalten. Aber um Gotteswillen nicht parallel, weil alleine der Geschirrspüler schon 2500 Watt zieht und damit wieder mehr aus dem Netz zieht.

Aber das wird sicherlich nicht immer so gut gelingen.

Eine Akkulösung ist übrigens keine Lösung, die Kosten sprengen jede Chance auf Amortisation.

Man könnte auch Geräte gesteuert zuschalten, z.B. die #Poolpumpe. Oder vielleicht doch eine Akkugespeiste #Gartenbeleuchtung, die nur bei Überschuss geladen wird.

Mal schauen, was mir noch für Unsinn einfällt, mit der die #Amortisation in weite Ferne rücken wird. Nur die Anschaffung der Überwachungstechnik hat die Amortisation um 1 Jahr auf 5 erhöht. Egal. #Männerspielwiese.

In denUSA verfügt etwa die Hälfte der Bevölkerung über mindestens eine Smart Home Anwendung wie Alexa, Siri & Co.

Dem gegenüber steht aber mindestens ein genau so großer Block an Verbrauchern, die der Technik mehr als skeptisch gegenüberstehen.

Nicht jeder möchte offenbar für ein bisschen mehr Komfort ständig vom eigenen Zuhause ständig überwacht werden.
