Any of y'all out there using #smartlocks?

I've got a couple of questions:

1. How long do batteries last and how do you recharge them?

2. How good is the torque? The door I'm thinking about installing on sometimes requires a little force to apply/release the deadbolt.

Basically, it comes down to this question: how likely is it that I'm going to have to fall back to the key anyway?
