@deliverance @jhx (Though I’m partial to #SmartOS’s LX zones for containers and want to try bhyve virtualization for real use. It’s got KVM too if you need a fallback like proxmox’s virt)

1. You just earned a follow.
2. #illumos distro #smartos does more than the stock illumos zones. I didn't understand why until I went to Joyent; people really don't wanna think about it.
3. I believe you can do it cleanly, but move-fast-break-things seems to be very evident in LXC.

This release includes an important security fix for CVE-2023-31284.
Your #illumos distros will be announcing this soon enough if they haven't already, but #illumos has a CVE that you should update ASAP: CVE-2023-31284.
#illumos statement: https://illumos.topicbox.com/groups/developer/T13ef186a53edeb5c-M821cc18b5884e04e16daa8fd
And @smartosorg and @triton_dc will also announce for #SmartOS, but in the meantime:

And yes the new #SmartOS is out now.
You know where to find me if you need assistance. Also, you can now pool-boot #SmartOS as long as the pool is bootable (can be tricky).
