So I’m thinking the smartphone keyboard might just be a dead end of design. Like, humanity needs to move on and learn to write again.

Maybe it’s just iOS’s keyboard going to shit.

Either way I’m stuck between my writing looking like that of a 6 yr old or proof reading every text/post like it’s a thesis.

It doesn’t have to look just like a normal keyboard! It’s a completely different device! Optimising the touch interface only goes so far!

Why is my #iphone13mini onscreen keyboard so horribly awful? "Return" should be a key accessible next to all my letters, not on another screen with those special characters. I don't want this @ and # nonsense. I want a return key. Who designed this awful (yet amazingly adorable) little phone? I declare an injustice.

Predictably, the keyboard settings proved useless.
