It really is mind-boggling to me that people are losing tons of money because hackers cracked their stolen #LastPass vaults and they still hadn't rotated the credentials they had stored in them.
We couldn't have screamed any louder for people to assume anything in LastPass was compromised and change it all ASAP. That was >6 months ago.
Luck is not a strategy.
If you used LastPass and still haven't rotated creds, act now. It may not be too late.

I am the organizer of a group in #Boston which does #COVID-safe movie outings.
There's a woman in the group whom I know from before (our kids went to the same school) who has IMO always been socially clueless.
For the most recent outing, she paid for six tickets. Then she sent me an email saying that she didn't actually know if she needed that many but if not, could I donate the extra to the theater foundation I mentioned in my email?

Years ago, I bought a copy of Gaia GPS so that I could use my phone for maps in the wilderness. It was $20 which was expensive for an app but much cheaper than a dedicated GPS. It's been great! But, in the intervening years the company was bought out and the new owners switched it to a subscription service. Luckily, as a long time user, my license is valid forever but that doesn't stop the new folks from asking me if I wouldn't rather upgrade from not paying to a monthly subscription. #smdh

I simply cannot understand why, more than 40 years after the advent of the personal computer, there are still people who ask for IT help by saying "It doesn't work" with no indication whatsoever of what that means.
If you do that, then THE VERY FIRST THING the person you're asking for help is going to do is say, "Can you be more specific?" You can save yourself and them time and get help faster by BEING SPECIFIC RIGHT OUT OF THE GATE. This isn't rocket science.

This column's suggestion,to solve the problem of #corporate #audit scandals by getting rid of the audits entirely is absurd.
Audits deter #fraud. Executives and auditors attest under threat of civil and criminal liability that audits are truthful and accurate. The scandals and consequences when that's found not to be the case prove the system is WORKING.
Get rid of the audits and there will obviously be significantly more fraud.

He specifically pooh-pooh'd the idea that climate change was a good reason to be depressed, saying that if a kid is depressed about climate change they need a therapist.
(FTR, my therapist is 100% on-board with my fears and concerns about climate change and acknowledges that it was as perfectly reasonable thing to be depressed over.)
No joke, he literally said to me, "There was a blizzard on my bar mitzvah. Bad weather happens, that's life."
