Musical Interlude: Here's something to play in the background while you do whatever...a series of symphonic poems, depicting the landscape and history of the real Bohemia. Some lovely tunes here, including one familiar phrase.
"Má vlast (My Land)", composed by Bedřich Smetana, performed by the Janáček Philharmonic Orchestra, Theodore Kuchar (conductor).

Wie schön.
Ich hab es wieder entdeckt und bin fasziniert von der Lebensgeschichte
von #Smetana ❤️🎶
#Smetana war übrigens schon taub (Tinnitus), als er die Moldau komponierte.

@FlixtonTom
I love Bohemian classical music. #Smetana is really good. That link didn't work for me btw, so this might be a good alternative if others can't use yours

Good stuff from other composers as well, including #Dvorak's #SlavonicDances which are favorites of mine.

Sometimes I like to take a break from hip hop and listen to something completely different.
Over the past year I have been exploring more #classical music, and thought I would share a few of my favourite pieces that I have discovered.
This one is 'Vltava (The Moldau)' by Bedřich Smetana and it describes the journey of the Vltava river in Czech Republic.
(from britannica.com). The movement starts with light, rippling figures that represent the emergence of the Moldau River as two mountain springs, one warm and one cold. Water from the springs then combines to become a mighty river, symbolized by a thickly orchestrated, stately theme that recurs periodically throughout the remainder of the work. Farther downstream, the river passes jubilant hunters, portrayed by a horn melody, and then passes a village wedding, signaled by a passage in polka rhythm. The river then enters a gorge where, according to legend, water nymphs—suggested by serene and mysterious melodies—come out to bathe in the moonlight. With the morning light, the main river theme returns, though it soon breaks into tumultuous dissonance as the river enters the St. John’s Rapids. Beyond the white water, the river reaches Prague, where to grand arpeggios of a regal hymn, it flows past the castle Vyšehrad, once the seat of power for Bohemian kings. After fading to a trickle, the piece—and the journey—comes to an unambiguous close with a loud two-chord cadence

@ScribbleAddict I do it with #Chopin and #Smetana and secretly hope that someone will recognise.

Some, like me, may recall this music as the backing #music for some early #Roadrunner vs #WileECoyote #cartoons.
