Indiesynthpopband opgericht in 2000 te Seattle als #Smoosh, in 2012 veranderen de twee zussen Asya en Chloé Saavedra, die de band als kind oprichten, in #ChaosChaos.
De band werd ontdekt door #JasonMcGerr van Death Cab For Cutie, die Chloé ook verder drumles zou geven en begeleiden in het schrijven van hun songs, nadat hij de teksten zag die ze schreven.
Het eerste tournee die ze ooit gaven was als voorprogramma van #Eels op hun tournee in 2006.
